Ronald Acuña Jr. is coming alive at the perfect time for the Atlanta Braves down the stretch.

It has been nothing short of a grind for Ronald Acuña Jr. this season, but the man keeps grinding.

Although he has had his moments this year, the Atlanta Braves‘ most talented player is probably not going to regularly play up to that level until he has a full offseason to recover from blowing his knee out two Julys ago.

He is still making plays in right field on occasion, stealing a few bags here and there, but if he can keep on doing this at the plate, the Braves might actually repeat this fall.

Here is Acuña’s latest moonshot to give the Braves an early 2-0 lead over the Philadelphia Phillies.

No, he wasn’t done, as Acuña doubled down the line to plate two more of his Braves teammates.

The man can do it all, folks. Here he is robbing Bryce Harper of multiple RBI on this diving grab.

Ronald Acuña Jr. can be the Atlanta Braves’ ultimate postseason catalyst

Anyone who watches the Braves with any regularity knows that Acuña is really trying, man. He would do anything to be out in right field every day, but that is just not in the cards for him physically this season. Fortunately, the Braves have plenty of outfield depth, affording him to still bat leadoff and serve as the DH in games where his knee needs a breather.

Unfortunately, Acuña’s best friend on the team in second baseman Ozzie Albies is injured again. He just returned from the IL on Friday night after missing the last three months with a broken leg, only to break his pinky.

Albies’ return would have been an emotionally galvanizing event for Acuña, but while also providing the team with even more depth, as well as an even more dangerous lineup for an opposing pitching staff to even hope to navigate.

With Albies’s status back up in the air, the braves will have to rely on, rookie Vaughn Grissom and others, while the likes of Michael Harris II, Matt Olson, Austin Riley and Dansby Swanson play every day. Regardless, an unencumbered Acuña can be the ultimate postseason catalyst for Atlanta.

For Atlanta to have its best shot at repeating, the Braves will need Acuña to come up clutch.
