3 Braves who could be this postseason’s Joc Pederson
By John Buhler
Money Mike is about to be sawry not sawry on the biggest stage imaginable
Perhaps the best combination of opportunity and swagger on the Braves currently is NL Rookie of the Year front-runner Michael Harris II. The man is hitting over .300, is making sensational grabs in centerfield on the reg and projects to be a 30/30 candidate in perpetuity playing alongside Ronald Acuña Jr. His play usually does the talking, but this man is every bit ATL, and we all love him for it.
Money Mike is the epitome of sawry not sawry when he makes one amazing play after another to ruin your favorite team’s night. The man is absolutely electrifying and has no fear when the lights are the brightest. Even when some of his teammates are struggling at the plate, Harris knows he is one swing away from changing the entire dynamic of a ballgame. The guy is only a rookie, bruh!
For the Braves to win three, and hopefully not four, postseason series and repeat, players like Harris will need to play an unencumbered, yet fearless brand of baseball. Even if there are other players on the team who bring the energy as well, Harris going off in a big way will really get the crowd into it. Perhaps most importantly, he is one of them, as Money Mike hails from Stockbridge.
Look for Braves Country to be all about the bag this October when Harris does Money Mike things.
