RB1: Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Kansas City Chiefs ($6,300)

Clyde Edwards-Helaire has quickly extinguished the Isiah Pacheco preseason hype, putting together two solid weeks to open the season. He’s totaled 192 scrimmage yards and scored two touchdowns, making him the RB5 on the year. His starting-caliber workload and efficiency have made him a solid fantasy option in a year where he fell down draft boards.

Edwards-Helaire gets a matchup with the Colts who allowed James Robinson to run all over them last week. In what will be a positive game script for the Chiefs, ‘CEH’ should see plenty of work and continue to put up solid numbers.

RB2: David Montgomery, Chicago Bears ($5,900)

David Montgomery exploded last week against the Packers, rushing 15 times for 122 yards, and he has a good chance at repeating that success against a Houston Texans team that has allowed 163 yards per game on the ground, which is good for third-worst in the league.

Montgomery has a solid floor this week as he’s seen workhorse usage so far through two games. He’s a solid number two option for us, especially because his price is a little low for a starting running back.
