2023 NFL mock draft: Atlanta Falcons get their franchise QB at No. 1 overall

The Jacksonville Jaguars may have something special brewing, now that they got rid of the horrible job Urban Meyer was doing last year. Playing against division rival Indianapolis, the Jaguars looked excellent on offense and defense and could be a contender in a wide-open AFC South as soon as this year.
Looking ahead, they need to get star quarterback Trevor Lawrence more weapons, and they get one here with Josh Downs from North Carolina. Downs is a guy who is a serious red zone threat, and that is just what this offense needs as they continue to grow with Lawrence at quarterback.
The Green Bay Packers took care of business against division rival Chicago last weekend, and everything seems okay now. Well, maybe not everything, but the Packers are one of the best in the NFC once again this year and will continue to be so with Aaron Rodgers at quarterback.
Even though Rodgers would like nothing more than an offensive star here in the first round, the Packers go defense, adding an elite safety in Brandon Joseph. Joseph has been outstanding in his first season with Notre Dame and continues to build his first-round resume in South Bend.
