10 RB sleepers to target for fantasy football Week 3
Fantasy football running back sleepers for week 3: Melvin Gordon, Denver Broncos
Two things are true. One: Melvin Gordon is most definitely still a part of this offense, and two: this Denver offense does not look as good as advertised. While Javonte Williams is the preferred passing down back, Gordon is averaging 11 carries per game and is still a factor.
Even against a stout 49ers front seven, we can’t ignore the volume that Gordon is getting. Look at this as somewhat of a D’Andre Swift-Jamaal Williams situation in Detroit. Sure, (Javonte) Williams is the best and preferred option, but Gordon is still involved.
Fantasy football running back sleepers for week 3: Michael Carter, New York Jets
While Week 2 was the story of the emergence of Jets’ rookies Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall, Michael Carter’s usage was still encouraging as he saw 12 total touches and still looked like the lead back. Though Hall has closed the gap, Carter is still a major factor in this offense.
Playing against a suddenly weakened Cincinnati defense, both backs will need to be utilized in order to win this game. Carter can be started as a FLEX and cheap option in DFS lineups.
