2. James Wiseman, Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody

The Warriors have one of the most talented groups in the league at the top of the rotation but they also have one of the most interesting young cores. Kuminga played the biggest role last season, playing 70 games and averaging 19.8 points, 7.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists per 36 minutes as a 19-year-old rookie. His game is still incredibly raw and his shooting is a work in progress but he’s already making a difference with his energy, physical tools and defensive versatility. If he starts smoothing out some of the rougher parts of his game this season, he could be headed for stardom.

Moody played just 607 minutes as a rookie but was extremely impressive, flashing some isolation scoring ability while hitting 36.4 percent from the outside. He has potential as a 3-and-D-plus wing and might be the readiest of this trio to make a meaningful contribution this season. Wiseman was the No. 2 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft but played just 39 minutes as a rookie and missed all of last year recovering from a knee injury. He’s a powerful, mobile big with defensive upside and a developing offensive game. He probably needs more seasoning than anyone else here, particularly with regard to anchoring the back line of a defense. But he was the No. 2 pick for a reason and Warriors fans are going to get a real chance to see why this year.
