Running back sleepers for fantasy football Week 5: Brian Robinson, Washington Commanders

From tragedy to triumph, Brian Robinson may make his highly anticipated NFL debut in Week 5. After being shot twice in leg in late August, Robinson beat all odds and now may return to football a little over a month later. Everything that’s been said about Robinson’s progress this week sounded positive, meaning there’s a good chance he gets activated to play.

The timing couldn’t be better for both Robinson and the Commanders, as current starter Antonio GIbson’s snaps have decreased every week since Week 1, as he’s playing behind J.D. McKissic now. This job is wide open, and if Robinson can come back and play well against Tennessee’s 19th-ranked run defense, he could secure the starting role.

Running back sleepers for fantasy football Week 5: Rex Burkhead, Houston Texans

Dameon Pierce is clearly, and deservedly, the starter for the Houston Texans. However, they still seem adamant about getting Rex Burkhead the football. He’s averaging a little over eight touches a game, mainly in the passing game. Burkhead appears to have the passing game role secured.

He’ll likely be needed this week against the Jacksonville Jaguars, who suddenly look like the best team in this division. If you’re looking for a PPR floor play, Burkhead may be your guy, though his ceiling is not that high.
