4. QB Geno Smith, Seattle Seahawks

Rostered: 32.5%

As of Monday morning, Geno Smith is a top-five fantasy quarterback this season. Smith’s fantasy breakout is coinciding with the best quarterback play of his NFL career. Right now, Smith has the highest PFF grade (90.2) among quarterbacks. He is also leading the league in completion percentage (75.2) and passer rating (113.1).

Over the last three games, he has thrown for 913 yards, seven touchdowns, and one interception. He has also rushed for 61 yards and a touchdown. It remains to be seen if this level of production is sustainable, but this week, he will have a relatively favorable matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals’ defense has given up the eighth-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks this season. Furthermore, Smith is not scheduled to face a top-10 defense against fantasy quarterbacks until Week 10, when the Seahawks face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Smith is a low-end QB1. He should be rostered in most leagues.
