1. Kyle Schwarber

Kyle Schwarber was Philadelphia’s big offseason acquisition prior to the 2022 season. He did lead the National League n home runs, after all. The thing is, the hits have not been coming when the Phillies have needed him the most.

Schwarber had not recorded a single hit through the team’s two Wild Card round games against the St. Louis Cardinals and Game 1 of the NLDS against the Braves. That trend continued on Wednesday night, as he went 0-for-4 at the plate, where he struck out three times and left one runner on base in the top of the eighth inning.

After this game, Schwarber is now 0-for-16 in the batter’s box. That is not ideal, considering he was brought in to knock in runs.
