4. Jerick McKinnon, Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City backfield has been quite confusing this year. One week, Clyde Edwards-Helaire looks like the workhorse. The next week, Isiah Pacheco looks primed to take over the starting role. The next week, Jerick McKinnon leads the group in snaps and touches. Ultimately, all three backs will be used at different points during the game.

McKinnon easily looked like the best back last week, totaling 72 yards on 10 touches. He also led the running backs in snaps with 38. In close games, it’s usually McKinnon playing the most, and that’ll be the case this Sunday in the ‘regular season Super Bowl‘ against the Bills.

3. Michael Carter, New York Jets

Breece Hall has officially broken out, leaving Michael Carter managers to flat-out release him. I’m not sure why, as Carter still is essentially splitting snaps with Hall. Last week, Carter rushed 10 times for 21 yards and scored two touchdowns.

Though he’s been passed as the starter, Carter is still involved in the run game. He gets a good matchup this week against the Green Bay Packers’ 20th-ranked run defense, where he may be a sneaky flex play.
