Packers fans want Aaron Rodgers benched: Best memes and tweets

Green Bay Packers fans expect greatness, but they did not receive that from Aaron Rodgers in the first half against the New York Jets.

These are not your typical New York Jets, mind you, but Green Bay football fans are used to a different display at Lambeau Field on Sundays.

Rodgers looked like he injured his wrist and/or hand in the first half, but fought through the pain. His toughness is appreciated, but only if it brings points with it. Through one half of football, Rodgers failed to register much movement on that side of the ball.

As fans tend to do, they overreacted slightly. Packers fans want to see what Jordan Love can do with this offense. Yes, I’m serious.

Rodgers may be dealing with some injury concerns, so that’s an important footnote to any and all conversations as it pertains to the Packers QB situation.

Love, in his very limited regular-season action, hasn’t exactly shouted starting QB material. But could he really be worse than this Green Bay offense led by the current version of No. 12? Some fans think not.

If the Packers and Matt LaFleur were to bench Rodgers in favor of Love because of his play at the position, there would be no turning back. If Love plays merely due to injury concerns, then that’s a different conversation entirely.

Rodgers is having trouble gripping the football, or so it appeared in the first half. As much talent as this Jets team has, they’re punching above their weight in Green Bay. By no means should this game be tied given the talent the Packers have on the interior.
