The Green Bay Packers would absolutely hate it if free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. were to sign with this team.

The NFL trade deadline is Nov. 1 at 4:00 p.m. ET. That means teams looking to make some upgrades to their wide receivers corps will have to make some calls to teams and see if they can strike a deal. However, it is not all doom and gloom if they are to miss out on one at the deadline. Odell Beckham Jr. is a free agent, and could sign after the deadline.

FanSided national NFL reporter Matt Verderame reported that there are a “litany of teams worth watching” in the Beckham sweepstakes, and the Green Bay Packers are one of the teams named.

For the Packers, if they lose out on Beckham, they better hope it is not to the rival Minnesota Vikings.

Packers better hope that Vikings do not land Odell Beckham Jr.

Watching Beckham sign to a division rival, who happens to sit in first place, would be disastrous for the Packers.

The Vikings are having a great first year under new head coach Kevin O’Connell. They are 5-1 on the season entering their Week 7 bye week and have two games at hand over the Packers, who are 3-3 on the year. As Adam Patrick of the Viking Age points out, O’Connell is familiar with Beckham, as he was his offensive coordinator last season with the Los Angeles Rams.

Not to mention, the Vikings could unleash a LSU attack in the passing game with Beckham teaming up alongside star Justin Jefferson. Of course, we can not forget veteran Adam Thielen. That would certainly help improve their offense and give them an edge over other playoff contenders in the NFC.

Of course, the decision is all up to Beckham as to where he wants to play. He has a big market after his short stint with the Rams last season helped them win Super Bowl 56. The reason for his delay in signing is due to the fact that he tore his ACL in the big game.

When fully healthy, Beckham is one of the top wide receivers in the game. He showed just that last season. Now, it’s a matter of which team will convince him to sign with them.
