1. Jalen Green continues to ascend for the Houston Rockets

Houston should be very fortunate. It has been reported multiple times that Detroit Pistons general manager Troy Weaver was torn between Cade Cunningham and Jalen Green. Ultimately, the Pistons chose to go with Cunningham leaving Green to be taken by the Rockets.

Imagine if Detroit landed both Cunningham and Green, and Houston was left with nothing. While the Pistons were able to snag Jaden Ivey and Jalen Duren this year, the Rockets got what they wanted to help pair with Green in Jabari Smith.

Last season, Green averaged 17.3 points per game as a rookie on 42.4 percent field-goal shooting, including over 30 percent from beyond the arc. Green also shot 79.7 percent from the FT line. If Smith lives up to his billing and Green gets a co-star, there could be another exciting duo in H-Town that can garner attention from the NBA.
