Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker revealed that Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors kept taunting him by saying “four rings” during the Oct. 25 game.

On Tuesday night, the NBA had a huge Western Conference matchup on the schedule. The Phoenix Suns hosted the defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors. While the Suns got a convincing win over the Warriors by the score of 134-105, the talk was the altercation between Devin Booker and Klay Thompson.

In the third quarter, Booker and Thompson were spotted exchanging words with one another, eventually leading to the two going chest-to-chest, resulting in double technical fouls. The two had to be separated. Thompson was ultimately ejected from the game when receiving another technical foul, earning himself his first career ejection.

After the game, Booker revealed that Thompson was taunting him by saying “four rings” repeatedly during the game. While he does say that he loves Thompson, it was not going to stop him from competing and talking to one another.

Devin Booker says Klay Thompson taunted him by repeating ‘four rings’

“We’re just two competitors,” Booker said, h/t ESPN’s Kendra Andrews. “I love Klay Thompson. I have for a really long time. But it’s not going to excuse from us being competitive and talking to each other. I’ve always admired his game, how he plays on both ends of the ball. And obviously, the rings speak for themselves.”

Thompson has four NBA championships to his credit. He returned for the first time since the 2019 NBA Finals after tearing his ACL and rupturing his Achilles last season, and won his fourth ring.

Booker was the leading scorer for both teams entire night, as he put up 34 points while shooting 10-for-19 from the field, 3-for-8 from the three-point line, and 11-for-14 from the free throw line. The Suns star also recorded seven assists, three steals, and two rebounds.

Meanwhile, Thompson had a tough time putting up points in Phoenix. He put up just two points while shooting 1-for-8 from the field and 0-for-5 from the three-point line.

When it comes to the trash talk between Thompson and Booker, the Warriors star made it be known that he has four championships to his credit.
