2. D’Onta Foreman, Carolina Panthers

D’Onta Foreman was part of a valiant Carolina Panthers’ effort to upset Tom Brady and the division rival Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In that game, the Panthers surprisingly gashed Tampa over and over again on the ground. Foreman went 15-118 and Chuba Hubbard went 9-63-1.

With Hubbard nursing an injury, Foreman may be in line for an increased workload against a middle-of-the-pack Atlanta Falcons defense. With a suddenly motivated and rejuvenated Panthers offense, Foreman could be a solid flex play this week.

1. Tony Pollard, Dallas Cowboys

Tony Pollard has been chomping at the bit to have a game to himself in the Dallas Cowboys’ backfield. This week may be the week, with Ezekiel Elliott struggling with a knee injury. We know that Zeke is tough, and he’ll do everything he can to play. But if he doesn’t — Pollard has top-10, possibly top-five potential.

Pollard takes on the Chicago Bears bottom-three run defense and would be used as a bellcow if Zeke misses this game. Keep an eye on injury news in the coming days, and if Zeke sits, Pollard can be started as a RB1 in any format and would be a recommended DFS play.
