The TCU Horned Frogs are still undefeated nine weeks into the 2022 season. Head coach Sonny Dykes is the first head coach to go 8-0 in the Big 12 in their first year in the conference, per ESPN Stats and Info. The Horned Frogs were able to accomplish this feat after the team defeated the West Virginia Mountaineers 41-31.
Quarterback Max Duggan continued his strong senior season at TCU as he completed 31-of-41 pass attempts for 341 yards and three touchdowns while throwing one interception.
On the season, Duggan has now accumulated 2,212 passing yards, 22 passing touchdowns, two interceptions, and a 67.4 completion percentage.
The Horned Frogs are legit this season, and Duggan has played a huge factor in them being undefeated.
Bryce Young and the Alabama Crimson Tide were on a bye in Week 9. Back in Week 8, they easily defeated the Mississippi State Bulldogs, where Young put up good numbers. He completed 21-of-35 pass attempts for 249 yards, two touchdowns, and zero interceptions.
So why the drop-down by two spots in this week’s power rankings? Well, there were two others previously ranked behind him that had tremendous games this weekend.
Young has the chance to rise up the rankings once again when they take on the LSU Tigers next weekend.
