It won’t be the most exciting of NFL matchups this week, but a division-rivalry game is almost always worth checking out. Here’s who will be facing off for Week 8’s Monday Night Football.

The 4-3 Cincinnati Bengals travel to the 2-5 Cleveland Browns in an AFC North matchup.
Though the Bengals are defending AFC Champions, they came out of the gates slow this year, starting the year 0-2 falling to the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Dak Prescott-less Dallas Cowboys. Since then they’ve gone 4-1 and look more like the Bengals we expected. Unfortunately, they’re without Ja’Marr Chase for the foreseeable future due to an injury.
On the other side, the Cleveland Browns have won just two games. They traded for quarterback Deshaun Watson this offseason and he is serving a suspension for several more weeks. They have dropped four games in a row but were nearly able to run away with a victory last week against the Ravens.

The Browns were scheduled for two primetime games this year. Their first was another AFC North game in Week 3 against the Steelers. This is their last primetime game of the year.
How many prime time games do the Cincinnati Bengals have this year?
The Bengals are tied with several other teams for a league-leading five primetime games in 2022. That happens when you go to the Super Bowl. This will be their fourth primetime game of the year, with their last primetime game coming November 20 on Sunday Night Football against the Steelers.

The last time the Cleveland Browns won on Monday Night Football was in 2019 when they held the Jets to just a field goal, winning 23-3. Since 2010 the Browns are 1-4 on MNF.

The Bengals last won on Monday Night Football last year late in the season against the Pittsburgh Steelers, 27-17. That game marked a shifting of powers in the AFC North as the Bengals took their first game over Pittsburgh in 12 games.
