Head Coach. Las Vegas Raiders. Josh McDaniels. 1. player. Scouting Report. 28. Pick Analysis

The Las Vegas Raiders lost to the Saints 24-0 in Week 8. Yes, 24-0. It was the first shutout for the Raiders since 2014.

A team with Derek Carr at quarterback and Davante Adams at wide receiver got shut out by a team that was giving up 28.6 points per game. How does that even happen?

It’s Josh McDaniels’ job to answer that question and if he doesn’t come up with a good excuse his job should be on the line.

The Raiders are now 2-5. They’re wasting Adams and getting the worst out of Carr. The best thing they’ve done all year is lose to the Chiefs by just one point. That’s not enough of a moral victory.

According to Paul Gutierrez of ESPN, Raiders owner Mark Davis had “another lengthy postgame meeting” with his head coach after the loss. If that’s necessary in Year 1 with a head coach who failed in his last head coaching gig then Las Vegas is in trouble.

McDaniels won 39 percent of his games in charge of the Broncos in 2009 and 2010. He’s won 37 percent of his games so far with the Raiders. It’s starting to feel like that’s just who he is as a head coach.
