player. 47. . TE. New England Patriots. Michael Mayer. 17

The New England Patriots took care of business against the New York Jets this past weekend, making Zach Wilson look terrible in the process. This could be the part of the season where they start to turn things around, so they could be picking a lot later than No. 17 when all is said and done.

However, with this pick, they get their next Rob Gronkowski, as Michael Mayer from the University of Notre Dame has been labeled ‘Baby Gronk.’ He is a do-everything tight end that Bill Belichick will love having on his team.

player. 58. . QB. Washington Commanders. Hendon Hooker. 18

The Washington Commanders won a football game this past weekend and did so with Taylor Heinecke under center. He has been solid for them when he gets the chance but is not looked at as a long-term solution for the position.

Picking at No. 18, the Commanders could get a long-term solution in Hendon Hooker, who has led the Tennessee Volunteers to a No. 1 ranking in the initial College Football Playoff list. Hooker can do it all from the quarterback spot and could be the spark this franchise needs.
