1. Toledo (AP NR)

The four teams above received votes in the AP poll. Toledo didn’t, but I still think the MAC’s best team can make some noise.

Last season, the Rockets went 29-6, including a 19-1 mark in conference play, with the only loss coming in a close one against Ohio. Quinesha Locket led the team with 17.9 points per game.

As seems to be a theme when projecting mid-major success, Lockett is back this year. And so is Sophia Wiard, the team’s second-leading scorer. Together, the two form a dangerous offense that ranked 33rd in Division I in scoring last year at 72.4 points per game. The team was 27th in average scoring margin.
