Packers that deserve the most blame: Aaron Rodgers

Make all the excuses you want for him, Aaron Rodgers deserves as much blame as possible for the Week 9 loss to the Lions.

Rodgers threw three interceptions, all of them being taken away in the red zone, on Sunday afternoon. One is forgivable. Two is something that could have been overcome. Three is downright throwing the game away.

Had the Pack been able to even get field goals on two out of three of those drives, they would have closed the 6-point deficit that they ended the game with. Had they scored a touchdown and extra point, well, we wouldn’t even be writing this post.

To make matters worse, the first interception was literally bounced off of a defender’s helmet, and the second one was a weakly-thrown pass. Yet, Rodgers threw a tantrum like it was someone else’s fault.

In the end, Rodgers’ three interceptions on the day bring his season total to seven. He is now on pace for just over 13 interceptions on the season which would match his career high in a season (2008).
