Atlanta Falcons. 15. team. 44. . 4-5. Previous:

Arthur Smith’s club outlasted the Panthers last week in overtime and now hosted the talented Chargers. While the Falcons opened up a 10-0 first-quarter lead, the team would trail by four points at intermission.

The Atlanta ground attack rolled up 201 yards and Cordarrelle Patterson ran for a pair of touchdowns. Smith’s squad could not protect a fourth-quarter lead and the Bolts came up with a game-winning field goal on the final play of the game.

New England Patriots. 14. team. 47. . 5-4. Previous:

How does a team manage to gain just 203 total yards and score 26 points? The Patriots ran for only 70 yards and quarterback Mac Jones was sacked four times. But he threw for 147 yards and one score. Nick Folk kicked four field goals and cornerback Jonathan Jones returned an interception 17 yards for a fourth-quarter touchdown.

New England’s defense came up with nine sacks – including three apiece by linebackers Matt Judon and Josh Uche.

42. . 4-4. Previous: . San Francisco 49ers. 13. team

Kyle Shanahan’s club has looked like a Super Bowl contender at times and very ordinary in other weeks. The 49ers continue to have the Rams’ number and have not only swept them again this season, but the team also owns a 3-0 divisional record.

General manager John Lynch gave up plenty a few weeks ago to obtain running back Christian McCaffrey. The defense has been solid for the most part and relentless Nick Bosa has eight of the team’s 26 sacks.
