Okay, hear me out. Yes, the Packers need a playmaker, but the offensive line has been a problem, as well. This season, the offensive line has allowed 70 total pressures, which is 18th in the NFL.

Left tackle David Bakhtiari remains elite; he has not given up a sack in 307 offensive snaps this season. Nevertheless, he has struggled to remain on the field in recent years. Last season, he appeared in only one game due to a knee injury. This season, knee issues have moved him in and out of the lineup.

Skoronski has made a strong case to be the best offensive lineman in the draft. At Northwestern, he has been dominant. This season, he has a PFF grade of 86.1, and he has allowed only two quarterback hurries in 694 offensive snaps. If Bakhtiari misses time, Skoronski would give the Packers insurance at left tackle. If Bakhtiari is healthy, Skoronski could give them an elite option at either right tackle or guard.

There is an argument for the Packers to simply select the best offensive player available, and depending on how the draft order shakes out, Skoronski could be it.
