5 breakout fantasy football stars to pick up for Week 11
4. Top Fantasy Football Pickups For Week 11 – New York Giants WR Darius Slayton
The need to establish the passing game is also important in New York as the Giants need to find a way to prevent opposing teams from teeing off on Saquon Barkley. Kenny Golladay returned to the lineup for the first time since Week 4 and quickly found himself back on the bench after a pair of critical drops.
One wide receiver who did step up was Darius Slayton, who had the Giants’ biggest offensive play of the day with a catch-and-run 54-yard touchdown in the third quarter. Slayton ended up with three catches for 95 yards on the afternoon and maintained his solid connection with starting quarterback Daniel Jones.
Head coach Brian Daboll has been desperately cycling through receivers for weeks in an effort to unlock New York’s passing game. Slayton’s performance should get Daboll’s attention and help him earn a bigger target share going forward.
There is a good opportunity to get in on the ground floor with Slayton, who is rostered in just six percent of Yahoo! leagues, ahead of a fun Week 11 matchup against Detroit’s suspect secondary. Slayton is a fine flex play next week with the potential for WR3 status going forward if he establishes a higher place on the food chain at receiver.
