Todd Bowles’ up-and-down club could get back to the .500 mark if they could cool off the Seahawks in Germany. Rookie running back Rachaad White totaled 22 carries for 105 yards and veteran Leonard Fournette added 57 yards and a score on 14 attempts.

The Buccaneers controlled the ball for 36:55, ran 74 offensive plays and gained 419 total yards. A 21-3 fourth-quarter advantage turned into a five-point lead but the Bucs’ defense rose up late.

A year ago, Bill Belichick’s team dropped four of its first six games but rebounded to finish 10-7 and wound up in the playoffs. This year, the Patriots got off to a 1-3 start but have strung together four wins in their last five outings.

Quarterback Mac Jones has had a rough year and he and rookie backup Bailey Zappe have combined for 14 of the team’s 17 turnovers. But the savvy Pats have come up with 17 takeaways – including 11 interceptions.

The Niners were looking for their fourth win in their last six games when they hosted the Chargers in prime time. Kyle Shanahan’s club look shaky early and trailed 13-3 in the second quarter. But San Francisco soon warmed up and wound up taking control in the trenches on both sides of the ball.

The 49ers ran for 157 yards while limiting the Bolts to 51 yards on the ground. Nick Bosa spent the game harassing Chargers’ quarterback Justin Herbert.
