3 offseason changes Phillies must make to return to World Series

Phillies defense has room for improvement
The Phillies defense was noticeably rough all season. Similar to their rotation and bullpen, their offense is miles ahead of their defense.
The team did make a few moves to improve, so it’s evident that they’re aware of the issues and improvement is a priority. Brandon Marsh, for example, was one of the best trades they made in terms of his defensive ability. His hitting has been questionable, though significantly improved with the Phillies. However, the Phils have enough power and talent in the lineup to suffice while defense is improved.
With a roster that can field, hit and pitch, Philadelphia could become lethal next season. After all, they finished third place in the NL East and still managed to be the team to make it to the World Series. They truly could become a first-place team with development that’ll allow more consistency.
Philadelphia has already been linked to Brandon Nimmo. Kevin Kiermaier is also a stellar defender, and available for a cheaper price tag. An outfield with Nick Castellanos and Kyle Schwarber at the corners definitely needs some defensive stability in center field.
