A year ago, the Buccaneers scored the second-most points in the NFL and Tom Brady led the league in passing yards and TD tosses. This season, the Tampa offense has been mediocre at best – totaling a mere 16 TDs in 10 games.

Todd Bowles’ club is averaging a disappointing 18.3 points per contest. The running game has been non-existent and the team’s issues on the interior of the offensive line are real. But the defense remains dangerous.

Off a week ago, Bill Belichick’s club looked to sweep the rival Jets for the seventh consecutive season. Neither club’s offense wound up reaching the end zone. Patriots’ quarterback Mac Jones threw for 246 yards but was sacked six times.

New England’s defense limited New York to 103 total yards. And the Pats came away with the dramatic victory when speedy Marcus Jones returned a punt 84 yards for a score with five seconds remaining.

The Giants were coming off a hard-earned victory over the visiting Texans and were back at home to take on the improved Lions. Surprisingly, it was really no contest as Brian Daboll’s club was outplayed in all phases.

While Big Blue actually outgained Detroit 413-325 in total yards, the Giants committed three turnovers, two of those interceptions by quarterback Daniel Jones. And Saquon Barkley was limited to just 22 yards rushing on 15 carries.
