2023 NFL Mock Draft: Houston revamps offense in top-10

50. . CB. Detroit Lions. Cam Smith. 13. player

The Detroit Lions are suddenly one of the hottest teams in the NFL and are fresh off a strong victory against the New York Giants on the road last weekend. Jared Goff is playing well enough for the team to win, the run game has been outstanding, and now that Jameson Williams is returning, they could make a Wild Card run.

Looking ahead, they need massive upgrades on defense, and Cam Smith from South Carolina is a first-round corner that should land in the first half of the first round. If Detroit can fix its issues on defense, they could be the team to beat in the NFC North next season.

46. . OT. Indianapolis Colts. Paris Johnson Jr.. 14. player

The Indianapolis Colts won Jeff Saturday’s debut as interim head coach against the Las Vegas Raiders, but then came down to earth this past weekend. The Colts were narrowingly beaten by the Philadelphia Eagles, as some of the Eagles coaches got revenge for their former co-worker, Frank Reich.

For the Colts, changes are coming in a big way, and it will be interesting to see what they do about the quarterback position moving forward. With this pick, No. 14 overall, they bolster the offensive tackle spot, adding a Day 1 starter in Ohio State star, Paris Johnson Jr.
