5. Week 4 College Basketball Power Rankings – Creighton Bluejays (LW: 5)

  • Record: 6-1
  • Last Week: Won 76-65 vs. No. 21 Texas Tech, Won 90-87 vs. No. 9 Arkansas, Lost 81-79 vs. No. 14 Arkansas
  • This Week: At No. 4 Texas 12/1, Vs. Nebraska 12/4

The Bluejays put on an incredible show in Maui and looked like a true Final Four team despite falling short against Arizona in the final. Gregg McDermott’s team showed incredible resiliency by rallying to nearly steal the game on their third consecutive night of action, an impressive display after the previous night’s emotionally exhausting win over Arkansas. Those traits will play well for Creighton in their showdown with Texas on Thursday in Austin.

4. Week 4 College Basketball Power Rankings – Arizona Wildcats (LW: HM)

  • Record: 6-0
  • Last Week: Won 101-93 vs. Cincinnati, Won 87-70 Vs. No. 17 San Diego State, Won 81-79 vs. No. 10 Creighton
  • This Week: At Utah 12/1, Vs. California 12/4

The Maui Invitational was a coming out party for Arizona, which picked up three strong wins to establish themselves as the favorites to repeat as Pac-12 champions. That statement bodes well with conference play set to begin this weekend as Arizona travels to Utah on Thursday before hosting Cal on Sunday.

3. Week 4 College Basketball Power Rankings – Virginia Cavaliers (LW: 9)

  • Record: 5-0
  • Last Week: Won 72-45 vs. Maryland-Eastern Shore
  • This Week: At Michigan 11/29, Vs. Florida State 12/3

The Cavaliers took it easy after an impressive MTE victory in Las Vegas by punking Maryland-Eastern Shore at home in a buy game. Tuesday’s trip to Ann Arbor for the ACC/Big Ten Challenge will be a good test for the Cavaliers ahead of their ACC opener against Florida State.

2. Week 4 College Basketball Power Rankings – Texas Longhorns (LW: 8)

  • Record: 5-0
  • Last Week: Won 73-48 vs. Northern Arizona, Won 91-54 vs. UT Rio Grande Valley
  • This Week: Vs. No. 10 Creighton 12/1

Texas surges this week by taking care of business in emphatic fashion against two mid-majors. Thursday’s showdown with Creighton could be a March Madness preview and rates as one of the best games on tap for this week.

1. Week 4 College Basketball Power Rankings – Houston Cougars (LW: 1)

  • Record: 6-0
  • Last Week: Won 49-44 vs. Kent State
  • This Week: Vs. Norfolk State 11/29, Vs. Saint Mary’s 12/3

Kent State gave the Cougars a scare by bogging the game down but Houston’s superior talent came through in the end with a five-point win. The game to watch this week is a neutral site tilt against a Saint Mary’s team that is March Madness worthy, offering Houston a much-needed non-conference test.
