2) Braves fans won’t enjoy seeing Dansby Swanson with the Dodgers

The Dodgers have a hole at their shortstop position with Turner available. Dansby Swanson is someone they can potentially look at to fill the gap. He won’t be nearly as expensive as the other big three shortstops. As much as money isn’t a concern to them, not everyone on the Dodgers roster can be a superstar.

Swanson might actually fit in well with the Dodgers. He has been somewhat overlooked in the Braves offense in recent years. There is still no denying how much he has improved and benefitted from the rise of others around him.

Los Angeles has a built-in situation to help Swanson thrive. He’ll turn 29 at the beginning of next season. If the last two seasons were any indication of what’s next, home run power is finally a real weapon of his. Swanson has hit 52 of his career 102 dingers in 2021 and 2022. He is someone slowly working his way into becoming a viable middle of the order bat.

For Braves fans, the real pain of seeing Swanson sign with the Dodgers and reunite with Freddie Freeman. Those satisfied with Matt Olson would still feel ill to see yet another member of the 2021 championship roster join the elite Dodgers.

More pain can occur in the playoffs. Fans from every market can already safely predict Atlanta versus Los Angeles in this year’s NLCS.
