MLB Winter Meetings: Michael Conforto

After missing the entire 2022 season because of shoulder surgery, Michael Conforto is ready to show that he can still make a difference. And, according to plenty of reports, there are teams that are willing to take a chance on him being able to shake the rust off quickly in 2023.

Among the teams that have been linked to Conforto are the Seattle Mariners, New York Yankees, Chicago Cubs, and New York Mets, the team he has played for throughout his seven-year MLB career.

The 29-year-old Conforto has a lifetime slash line of .255/.356/.468 and can make an impact from the left side of the plate. He’s also likely to take a deal where he can prove that he is healthy, rolling the dice that he can do that and cash in for a bigger contract down the line.

One thing that could hold up Conforto’s signing is the fact that he is represented by Scott Boras, meaning that even if Conforto doesn’t sign with another team at the Winter Meetings, we are still likely to hear about how close he is to signing and how lucky some team is going to be to land him.

Still, knowing Conforto is anxious to get back to a sense of normalcy after having last season wiped out by injury, don’t be surprised if he lands somewhere sooner than later.
