5 players who could sign at the 2022 MLB Winter Meetings

MLB Winter Meetings: Carlos Estevez
Keep this name in mind when relievers who could make an impact this offseason are mentioned. Estevez greatly improved his stock last season around the league, becoming a dependable set-up man for Colorado Rockies closer Daniel Bard.
Estevez is a pitcher who can be a bridge to the back end of the bullpen, but also does have some closing experience during his six seasons with Colorado. He brings a fastball that averaged 97.5 mph last season and a slider that limited batters to just a .160 batting average in 2022.
In the second half of the season, Estevez posted a 1.40 ERA over his final 26 games (25.2 innings). As the 29-year-old’s number continued to drop, Bard became more and more vocal about how he hoped that Colorado would find a way to keep Estevez in the Coors Field bullpen. However, plenty of other teams now have him on their radar, and could well make him a part of their roster by the time Winter Meetings end.
Look for a team (perhaps the Rockies) to make a move during Winter Meetings to lock up Estevez and bolster their bullpen.
Note: I will be covering the Winter Meetings this year for FanSided, along with my colleague Robert Murray.  We will be providing regular daily updates from San Diego, including digging into all of the news and rumors coming out of southern California during what is expected to be a very busy week.
