2) AL East Power Rankings: Toronto Blue Jays

The Toronto Blue Jays are a fun team to keep an eye on. Their young star power at the plate and on the mound makes them a potential World Series winner. They’re very different from other teams within the division. From appearances, they have everything it takes to end up with a World Series parade.

At 92-70 last year, the Blue Jays finished second in the division. They never had much of a chance to ever win it. In 2023, they’re going to need to start much stronger and not spend all summer playing catcher up.

The Blue Jays have some work to do. Trading Teoscar Hernandez opened up a spot in the lineup to do a couple of different things. They still have two pretty good big league catchers they could shop. Toronto might be quiet for now, but expect them to get busy soon enough.

Right now would be the best time for the Blue Jays to win a championship. Before Bo Bichette and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. start making a lot of money, they need to strike. AL East will only get better. The Red Sox may be down, but the Rays always remain strong and the Orioles are on the rise.

Everybody has been waiting for the Blue Jays to make a serious playoff run. They’re currently second in the AL East Power Rankings. If not for the Judge signing, they’d have a strong case to be number one.
