4. Cam Reddish, New York Knicks

Reddish doesn’t add the playmaking value of Fournier but he’s shown the potential to be a solid spot-up threat and his length and defensive versatility might make him even more valuable to the Lakers. He’s also on a contract that’s much easier to match, and the Lakers could theoretically make Kendrick Nunn and a second-round pick work. Given that the Knicks and Reddish are reportedly both looking for a way to separate, that might be enough to actually get the deal done.

3. Myles Turner, Indiana Pacers

The Lakers’ interest in Turner has been rumored since the offseason and he caused a stir earlier this season when he appeared to be selling the Lakers on trading for him during an appearance on Adrian Wojnarowski’s podcast. Turner is an elite rim protector with floor spacing ability, and his development as a roll threat this year has him enjoying perhaps the best offensive season of his career.

However, the Pacers are currently in the midst of a playoff push, Turner has been fantastic and there’s a chance they could sell him on signing an extension. If they get that done, it would remove all the pressure to trade him. In addition, Thomas Bryant has averaged 21.3 points, 10.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.8 blocks per 36 minutes since returning to the Lakers lineup, shooting 69.0 percent from the field. He’s not the defender or floor space that Turner is but he’s offered enough help in the frontcourt to make the Lakers’ backcourt shooting and creation needs feel much more immediate.
