3. Top Fantasy Football Pickups For Week 16 – New Orleans Saints TE Juwan Johnson

As we’ve discussed throughout the year, finding a good tight end in fantasy football is hard. Most players end up streaming the position and hope to get lucky with a guy who finds the end zone, making Juwan Johnson the perfect tight end for owners in need.

Johnson had another strong performance for the New Orleans Saints in Week 15, catching 4-of-6 targets for 67 yards and two touchdowns in a victory over the Atlanta Falcons. Quarterback Andy Dalton loves to look Johnson’s way in the red zone as the two spikes have given Johnson seven scores on the season.

The stretch run has also been a bit of a heater for Johnson, who has scored touchdowns in four of his last five games played. The fifth saw Johnson depart early with an injury so it is safe to say that players looking for a dart throw at the tight end spot could certainly do worse than Johnson.

Word hasn’t quite gotten out on Johnson, who is rostered in 20 percent of leagues, yet. Week 16’s matchup with the Browns isn’t the best for tight ends but Johnson is a clear red-zone weapon that is worth a flier for owners who have been streaming the position throughout the season.
