Patriots path back to the playoffs in 2023, Step 3: Hire a real offensive coordinator

This may sound harsh.

It doesn’t matter. Here’s the bottom line: The play calls of the Patriots are too predictable, so much so that if stories about fans throwing their remotes at their TVs are true, you can’t blame them.

The screen plays aren’t working, and fans are fed up, as they should be. Matt Patricia and Joe Judge have been terrible this season, and the regression of Mac Jones is appalling. Belichick’s refusal to look outside for help and potentially a better option has put this team in a bad look.

New England has to start looking for outside help. It’s been established that internal solutions are not giving much to be excited about, and the development of Jones is crucial for the franchise. The offensive talent is not bad, but if utilized incorrectly, they look like shells of themselves. Fix this issue, or the problems will continue to endure.
