Best matchups for fantasy football Week 16: 2. Isiah Pacheco, RB, Kansas City Chiefs (vs. SEA)

Isiah Pacheco had his best matchup of the year last week against Houston, and it’s fair to say it was a disappointment. He ran 15 times for 86 yards but was benched for a while due to a lost fumble and miscues in pass protection. The Chiefs also made the game way closer than it needed to be, allowing Jerick McKinnon to again have a better fantasy day.

The Chiefs still believe in Pacheco as their early-down back, and that’s been proven as of late as he’s had no fewer than 13 carries in a game since Week 9. The Chiefs struggling against bad teams and ultimate commitment to the pass is why Pacheco can’t be a top-10 running back.

He can, however, have pop weeks like he did in Week 11, going 15 for 107 against the Chargers. This week, his matchup against Seattle’s second-worst run defense provides another opportunity to do so. He remains a must-start at the most important position in fantasy football.
