3 reasons why the Chiefs need to sign Mohamed Sanu

Why the Kansas City Chiefs need to sign Mohamed Sanu: A winning mindset that comes with experience
One of the first things Sanu told us when asked what he can bring to the table at this point in his career had to do with the mental preparation and mindset it takes to win.
“I would say, it’s the mindset … Patrick has that intense mindset. Travis (Kelce), too … Little things, little details, how to better yourself, how to prepare yourself … it’s not always physical,” he said.
To Sanu’s point, he’s always been one of those guys who is willing to do the dirty work. He is a big, strong receiver. He’s not your typical lanky, outside receiver. This is a man who will go across the middle if needed. He’ll throw a nasty block in order to get a teammate into the end zone.
Sanu is willing to do the tough stuff, and he’s mentally prepared for all of it. He understands that it’s not always just the physical aspect, but how you prepare mentally.
"“Somebody can run a 4.2 (forty time), but somebody that plays way faster and can do it more efficiently, is dynamic and always open… that’s tough to not have on your side … Everywhere I’ve been, we win,” Sanu reminded us."
It’s true. Sanu has been on some very good teams in the past, including a Super Bowl roster with the Atlanta Falcons in 2017. After coming up short, and getting so close in that game, it’s safe to say that Sanu would relish an opportunity to win it all in Kansas City.
Sanu went on to say that he isn’t taking full credit for his teams winning everywhere he’s been, but that it’s the experience that matters — and he’s right. He has made the postseason more often than not over his decade in the league, and with multiple teams.
If the Chiefs want to add a wise, calculated guy who will only further the positive culture in the locker room and understands how to play winning football, they can’t do much better than Sanu.
