Seattle Seahawks vs. Los Angeles Rams Week 18 Prediction

At 7-9, the Seahawks are likely out of the playoffs. But, that won’t stop Seattle from playing their hearts out in Week 18, just to prove they weren’t a fluke this season. After all, the Seahawks were supposed to be bottom of the barrel. Instead, they went on to surprise the football world and become a much more competitive team than anyone anticipated.

This is a pivotal game for Geno Smith, too, as he goes into free agency next spring. The Rams have been susceptible to the pass at times, this year, also. So, look for Smith to have a day against the defending Super Bowl champs and go out on a positive note.

Smith throws for 300-plus yards and a pair of touchdowns in his season finale, just to let the rest of the league know that he was indeed legitimate this year. He’ll go into free agency with a chip on his shoulder, knowing he can be a starter in this league and looking to find that new home. Maybe, Seattle does right by him and brings him back.

Prediction: Seattle 30 Los Angeles 27

Seattle finishes 8-9

After just missing out on the postseason, Seattle enters the 2023 offseason with plenty of hope. Knowing they could bring Smith back for next season while they build with all of those draft picks will have Seahawks fans buzzing in the spring. The offseason will be a big one for a franchise that was once looked at as possibly the worst roster in the league.
