10 WR sleepers to target for fantasy football Week 16
By Jakob Ashlin
2. Fantasy football wide receiver sleepers for Week 16: Darius Slayton, New York Giants
Rostered: 46.3%
Slayton continues to quietly serve as the Giants’ top wide receiver. Since making his season debut in Week 2, he is leading the Giants in targets (62) and receiving yards (631). Subsequently, he has put together some solid fantasy performances; he has recorded double-digit fantasy points in six individual games.
This week, Slayton has an excellent matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings are allowing the third-most fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers this season.
Slayton is an excellent FLEX option in most leagues.
1. Fantasy football wide receiver sleepers for Week 16: Brandin Cooks, Houston Texans
Rostered: 71.6%
Yes, 71.6 is a high rostered percentage, but if he is somehow available in your league, he is a must-add.
Nico Collins will miss Saturday’s game against the Tennessee Titans with a foot injury. Meanwhile, Cooks is expected to make his return to the lineup.
Last season, he had 90 receptions for 1,037 yards and six touchdowns, despite erratic quarterback play. With Collins out, he should see a large volume of targets on Saturday.
Cooks has WR1 upside against the Titans, who have given up the most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers this season.
