2. Top Fantasy Football Pickups For Week 17 – Detroit Lions WR D.J. Chark

Week 16 didn’t go as planned for the Lions, who suffered a damaging loss that may have crippled their chances of snapping a six-year playoff drought. One man who wasn’t to blame for the loss was wide receiver D.J. Chark, who stepped up to help his quarterback in a big way.

Jared Goff looked Chark’s way five times and the veteran caught four of them for 108 yards. That effort marked the third time in the past four games that Chark has exceeded 90 yards receiving and the only exception came when Detroit avoided throwing outside the markers against the Jets’ elite cornerback duo of D.J. Reed and Sauce Gardner in Week 15.

The Lions are in a must-win situation and Goff figures to be chucking in Week 17 as Detroit returns home to face the 3-12 Chicago Bears. The matchup is a good one for the Lions as the Bears’ defense has been a sieve down the stretch and the game will be held indoors at Ford Field.

There is a good window of opportunity to buy in on Chark, who is rostered in 51 percent of leagues, as he is on a mini-heater and has a pair of touchdowns in his past five games. Teams in need of help at the receiver position should dial up Chark if he’s available in your league.
