Broncos could hire a rival play-caller

Eric Bieniemy has called plays for the Chiefs since 2018, and somehow hasn’t been hired as a head coach despite Kansas City having one of the best offenses in all of football. I can’t qwhite put my finger on why that may be, but I’ll leave the reasoning to the reader.

Nonetheless, this is Bieniemy’s time. Any off-field issues surely are left in the past. Mahomes and the Chiefs once again have arguably the best offense in all of football. Much of that has to do with the quarterback, but the offensive coordinator deserves his due, as well.

Mahomes and Andy Reid have frequently praised Bieniemy for his calm nature and ability to work within the system. Having a QB like Mahomes lead the offense surely makes things easier, but that’s also a positive when evaluating Bieniemy’s resume — he has experience working with elite passers.

As far as the Broncos are concerned, they must consider Russell Wilson just that.
