Zac Taylor’s team clinched a playoff berth on Thursday night when the Jets lost to the Jaguars. On Saturday, the Bengals were in Foxborough to take on the Patriots. The defending AFC champions scored the first 22 points of the game thanks to three Joe Burrow TD passes (albeit 2 missed PATs by Evan McPherson).

Taylor’s club held on for a four-point victory. Cincinnati gained 442 total yards but the sloppy Bengals turned over the ball three times.

A win by Nick Sirianni’s team would not only give the Eagles the NFC East title but homefield advantage throughout the NFC playoffs. Gardner Minshew started for injured Jalen Hurts and while he threw for 355 yards and two scores and ran for another TD he also committed three of the team’s four turnovers.

The Eagles allowed a season-high 40 points in the loss. The Birds have given up the ball nine times in 13 wins and eight times in their two losses.

San Francisco 49ers. 1. team. 42. . 11-4. Previous:

The 49ers took their seven-game winning streak into Saturday’s clash with the Commanders. Quarterback Brock Purdy continued his solid play and once again and found tight end George Kittle for a pair of touchdowns.

The latter finished with six receptions for 120 yards. Purdy was sacked three times and picked off once while throwing for 234 yards. Defensive end Nick Bosa finished the game with seven tackles, a pair of sacks and a forced fumble.
