Mike Vrabel’s club was hoping to put the brakes on a four-game slide when they hosted the rival Texans. Rookie quarterback Malik Willis got the start and while he ran for 43 yards and one score he was sacked four times, threw for only 99 yards and was picked off twice.

The second interception came on the final play of the game. It was not only the fifth consecutive setback for Vrabel’s team, but the Titans have dropped their last three home contests.

The struggling Seahawks made their way to Kansas City looking to surprise the AFC West champions. Pete Carroll’s club got a solid performance from rookie running back Kenneth Walker, who totaled 107 yards on 26 carries.

Geno Smith threw for 215 yards and one score, but also served up an interception. Seattle held the ball for 35:02 and gained 333 total yards on 73 plays, but the club didn’t score a touchdown until there was 2:25 left in the game.

7-8. Previous: . New York Jets. 19. team. 30.

It was a rainy and cold Thursday night at MetLife Stadium as the Jets took on the rejuvenated Jaguars. Robert Saleh’s club got an early takeaway and took a 3-0 lead. After 30 minutes of play, New York had run 21 offensive plays, gained 66 yards and scored three points.

The Jets were shut out in the second half and Chris Streveler wound up replacing struggling starter Zach Wilson. The Jets have lost four in a row after a 7-4 start.
