The Lions were on the road for the second straight week as they traveled to Charlotte. Dan Campbell’s club may have been better off staying home. By halftime, Detroit had already allowed Panthers’ running backs Chuba Hubbard and D’Onta Foreman to each run for 100-plus yards.

Campbell’s team surrendered 570 total yards by game’s end, including 320 yards on the ground. The Panthers have won four of their last six games after a 2-7 start.

The Jaguars were coming off an exhilarating overtime win over the Cowboys and now had a short week as they met the Jets on a Thursday night in New Jersey. Travis Etienne ran for 83 yards, quarterback Trevor Lawrence added 41 yards rushing and the game’s only touchdown and tight end Evan Engram added seven catches for 113 yards.

Jacksonville and slumping Tennessee both now own 7-8 records with two weeks remaining this season.

13. . 9-6. Previous: . Los Angeles Chargers. 10. team

Brandon Staley’s team entered Monday night’s clash in Indianapolis with the opportunity to clinch a playoff berth with a victory. The Chargers’ offense wasn’t especially sharp as quarterback Justin Herbert committed a pair of turnovers.

The evening belonged to the Los Angeles’ defense, a unit that allowed 173 total yards, sacked Nick Foles seven times and stole three of his passes. The Bolts are headed to the postseason for the first time since 2018.
