What are some realistic Tom Brady replacement plans for the Bucs in 2023?

Tom Brady backup plans: Derek Carr
In 2023, Derek Carr’s cap hit is just over $34 million. However, the Raiders could cut him and only endure $5 million in dead cap. That’s a $29 million savings for a team that very well might move on from the longtime Raider.
There has been no more passionate player involved in this organization for the last decade than Carr. He is as compassionate and competitive a guy the Raiders have seen in quite some time — and one of the best teammates any player could ever hope to have in the NFL.
Carr will be 32 years old next spring, and the Raiders have seemed stuck in a place they can’t get out of for the last couple of seasons. Las Vegas hoped bringing in Davante Adams — Carr’s former college teammate — would help them get over the hump. But, they’ve still had little success sustaining leads and winning games.
In an offseason that could see Vegas lose Josh Jacobs as well, this might be the time the Raiders move on from Carr and look toward the future. If Carr is cut loose, then the Bucs should pounce on the former MVP candidate. He has a few years left in him and would be coming into a great situation in Tampa.
