The Kansas City Chiefs have been thriving this season. Meanwhile, the rest of the AFC West has been bursting into flames around them.

The Kansas City Chiefs, as per usual, have had a great season. They sit very comfortably atop the AFC West with a 12-3 record, officially clinching the division for the seventh consecutive season. The rest of the division, on the other hand, hasn’t had quite the same luck this season.

The Los Angeles Chargers are the next-best team in the division. They aren’t particularly bad as they have a 9-6 record. LA is officially guaranteed a spot in the playoffs, but it doesn’t seem likely they’ll advance too far against teams like the Buffalo Bills, Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals and Chiefs who also clinched playoff spots.

The Las Vegas Raiders and Denver Broncos, unfortunately, don’t stand much of a chance right now. The Raiders sit in third with a 6-9 record and the Broncos fall last with a 4-11 record.

While fans among the AFC West are stressing over their team’s fate, Chiefs fans can sit back and watch comfortably.

Chiefs fans react to the condition of the AFC West

Chiefs fans have been granted the gift of confidence with Patrick Mahomes as their trusted quarterback. Mahomes is undoubtedly one of the best QBs in the league, and one fan is so confident in his ability that they believe if Tom Brady joins the Raiders, KC would still win the division quite easily.

This is a very realistic possibility considering how dominant Mahomes has been for years. Brady is still among the best quarterbacks in the league, but he’s currently on track to have his worst season with Tampa Bay. He could be losing steam.

Mahomes’ talent is evident to most.

The Chiefs, however, haven’t been faced with nearly as many injuries as the other three teams in the division, as one fan noted.

Some even wonder if Mahomes will have the same legacy in the AFC West that Brady did in the AFC East (a very real possibility considering the immediate dominance).

All-in-all, the Chiefs continue to show their fans why they should continue to support them.
