10 RB sleepers to target for fantasy football Week 17
2. Zack Moss, Indianapolis Colts
It feels illegal to list a member of the Indianapolis Colts offense on any fantasy article, but it’s hard to ignore the usage that Zack Moss has gotten over the past few weeks, where he’s averaged 18 carries a game since the injury of Jonathan Taylor. Though he hasn’t had a top-30 finish, he’s getting starting running back volume.
The Giants have the 28th-ranked rushing defense in the NFL, so the matchup is slightly more favorable for Moss. If he continues to get the bulk of the work, he may turn in a solid week even on a treacherous Indianapolis offense.
1. D’Onta Foreman, Carolina Panthers
Since the trade deadline deal that sent Christian McCaffrey to the San Francisco 49ers, D’Onta Foreman has operated as Carolina’s lead back and has excelled in that role. Since Week 7, he’s ranked as the RB20 in PPR scoring and has been a consistent fantasy option.
This week, even in a tough matchup against Tampa Bay, Foreman ranks as a high-end RB2 option due to his elite usage and play. In the last meeting against Tampa Bay, Foreman erupted for a 15-118 day en route to an upset. His most recent game came in an upset of the Detroit Lions, where he ran 21 times for 165 yards and a touchdown. Foreman is a rock-solid option in Week 17.
