Steelers mock draft: 3 Steelers targets playing in the College Football Playoff

Steelers mock draft: Paris Johnson Jr. could solve offense line issues
Paris Johnson Jr. has been mocked to the Steelers by many experts, and he’s on the watch list for Pittsburgh’s scouts on Saturday for an obvious reason. Mainly, Pittsburgh needs to find some offensive line depth, and Johnson Jr. should be available when the Steelers select in the middle of the first round, if not the second round.
This draft class is thin at the tackle position, meaning a team like Pittsburgh may have to reach to select Johnson, a player who would otherwise be selected a little later. The Steelers run game is predicated on getting that push up front at the tackle position, and they don’t have much of it right now. Johnson Jr. could fix that.
Steelers mock draft: Dee Winters plays at a position of need
Winters has a lot left to prove to increase his NFL Draft projections, but a good performance in the College Football Playoff and Senior Bowl is a great place to start.
TCU’s star linebacker stands at 6-1 and 230 pounds, so he’s not your typical off-ball player at the position. He’s proven the doubters wrong his entire college career, however, and has 7.5 sacks on the season so far. In Pittsburgh, he could aid a pass rush which could use some depth behind T.J. Watt and Alex Highsmith.
With the Steelers expected to move on from Devin Bush this offseason, Winters is an intriguing replacement for a thin linebacking corps.
