After the Cleveland Browns’ victory on Sunday, LeBron James took to Twitter to support Deshaun Watson and is under criticism for doing so.

They say with age comes wisdom, but for LeBron James that might not be entirely true — at least not on Sunday afternoon.

The Ohio native enjoyed watching the Cleveland Browns in their victory over the Washington Commanders in Week 17. In that game, quarterback Deshaun Watson accounted for three total touchdowns.

The Browns started slow, only scoring three points in the first half against Washington. In the second half, though, Watson started to get hot.

When Watson found the end zone a couple of times, LeBron got a little excited and sent out the following tweet.

Since tweeting his support for Deshaun Watson, LeBron James’ mentions have been ablaze

Simply clicking on the above tweet could lead to an evening of entertainment for any sports fan. LeBron’s support of Watson led many people to reply with statements such as, “here for the comments,” “you can still delete this” and my personal favorite, “LeCanceled.”

Watson, of course, was the subject of many serious allegations over the offseason in which several women accused him of sexual assault.

Although much of the case was (and still is) technically an unknown, legally speaking, Watson was dealt from the Houston Texans to the Cleveland Browns in a blockbuster deal back in March. The Browns gave up three first-round picks in exchange for Watson, but that wasn’t the only thing they handed out.

Cleveland handed Watson a contract worth $230 million guaranteed upon arrival, all while Watson’s legal issues were still anything but over with. In October, yet another civil lawsuit was filed.

We may never know the full truth regarding what happened between Watson and all of those women, but the fact that there were so many women to come out and accuse him is still disturbing.

It’s also a bit off-putting for a star like LeBron to support Watson, legal troubles and all.
